Laurel Cookie Co. creates hand-crafted decorated sugar cookies in Ann Arbor—custom designs, holiday treats, logo cookies, decorating classes, and printable packaging. In her kitchen, Laurel is a whirlwind of frosting, flour, and creativity: overworking her KitchenAid experimenting with new confections, showing up to school pickup with icing on her cheek, defending her cookies from her 5-year-old frosting thief, and fielding daily “ookies” demands from her 2-year-old. Her husband happily patrols the cookie jar for leftover “naked cookies,” and every cookie is designed to bring a little joy and sweetness to life.

My love for baking beautiful confections began back in college after taking a Wilton cake decorating class at Joann Fabrics (RIP) with my mom. As an art major, my art projects began piling up in my apartment, yet I could not bring myself to part with them. This is when I realized I love edible art and the temporary nature of it.

My professional background is in Graphic Design, and decorated sugar cookies are the perfect combination of two of my passions: design and baking.

Cookies are available for pickup in the Ann Arbor area and require 2 weeks advance notice. No shipping.
